Small Early Round Nantucket Basket with Stationary Handle

  5 ½” Open Round Basket with Stationary Handle
  Rattan woven with thick cane staves and rim
  Handle is made of oak with ears that go down
  almost to the base. Each stave is nailed down 
  from the interior of the base, which you only see
  in early Nantucket baskets. Both sides of the   
  base are branded “C. Baker”, Charles Henry    
  Baker (1843-1899) was born in Nantucket and   
  died in Providence, Unknown maker, c, 1860
